This Week’s Spotlight: Prospect Place and The Woodward, two nonprofit assisted living facilities in Keene, merged to form the Prospect-Woodward Home at The Woodward’s current location. Jan Barnes, former executive director of Prospect Place, was appointed executive director of the merged facility. The merger includes plans to build the Hillside Village in Keene, a facility on 48-acres that will include 140 independent living apartments, 60 assisted living suites and 30,000 square feet of common space. Construction will begin in the spring of 2017, with an expected opening in the fall of 2018. At the end of June, Hillside Village had deposits from about 60 future residents.

Aspen Insurance Agency in Manchester hired Joseph Lachance to its sales department. Lachance will focus on personal lines and mid-size commercial lines business.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage promoted Steve Tetrault as sales manager of its Manchester office. Tetrault, previously a sales associate in the Manchester office, will oversee 16 affiliated sales associates coordinating home transactions in Concord, Manchester,  Nashua and the surrounding communities in Southern NH.

Digital Prospectors in Exeter, a technical staffing firm, donated $15,000 to Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth to support its health, dental and family services. Since 2010, Digital Prospectors has donated a total of $80,000 to Families First.

Franklin Savings Bank hired Amy Wyman as branch manager of its main Franklin office and Jeanne Lester as assistant branch manager of its second Franklin office. Wyman previously worked as a branch manager for Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord, while Lester previously worked as an assistant manager for Bank of America.

Hanover Consumer Cooperative Society in Hanover hired Edward W. Fox as general manager. Fox, who has almost 30 years of nonprofit and food manufacturing experience, is currently VP of operations for Cradles to Crayons in Massachusetts, which provides various items to low-income and homeless children. He succeeds Terry Appleby, who is retiring after 24 years with the Co-op.

Harbor Homes Inc. in Nashua, a nonprofit health and human service organization, will begin using a mobile healthcare van to provide primary, behavioral and oral health care to low-income and homeless residents in the Greater Nashua area. A dentist and support staff will occupy the mobile dental/oral health care unit, with plans to hire additional clinicians and support staff.

Robert Harbeson and Adam Wagner founded Market Square Architects, located at the Kearsarge House in Portsmouth. The firm will focus on residential and commercial projects in the Seacoast region.

Sean Skabo, AVP and business lender at Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord, received the President’s Choice Award from Intown Concord. The award is given to a board member for supporting the mission of Intown Concord, which promotes business and culture in the city's downtown. Skabo is currently the chair of economic vitality for the organization.

The Monarch School of New England is partnering with Jewett Construction Company Inc. in Raymond to build a 11,000-square-foot regional high school and vocational center in Rochester for young adults with significant disabilities. CLD Consulting Engineers in Manchester and DeStefano Architects, Summit Engineering, CSI Engineering and HBLA Inc., all in Portsmouth, will oversee architecture and engineering for the project. There will be a public groundbreaking event for the project on July 15.

The NH Center for Nonprofits in Concord, a statewide association that provides programs and resources for nonprofits, elected four new members to its board of directors: Borja Alvarez de Toledo, CEO of Child and Family Services in Manchester; Sara Kobylenski, executive director of the Upper Valley Haven in Vermont; Jim Miller, director of institutional research at Granite State College in Concord; and Kim Pecora, principal at Nathan Wechsler & Company in Concord.

The NH Liquor Commission in Concord is planning to build a 10,500-square-foot Liquor & Wine Outlet in Warner off Route 103. The outlet is expected to open in July 2017 and generate $5.5 million in annual sales.

Scott-Farrar at Peterborough hired Laura Lawlor as business office manager and Laura Hanson as marketing director. Lawlor previously worked as a senior analyst with Cartus Global Relocation Services in Connecticut, while Hanson was most recently a partner at FirstTracks Marketing Group in Peterborough. The new Scott-Farrar senior living community, expected to open in mid-December, will include 63 apartments and suites for multiple levels of senior living.
