Clark Insurance in Manchester and Maine promoted Bret Cote, NH sales manager, and Martin Duggan, life and health insurance agent, to VPs and shareholders of the firm.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast in Portsmouth elected two new members to its board of directors. The two new members are Barbara Cassidy, president and CEO at The Spencer Thomas Group in Portsmouth, and Cheryl Wadas, sales associate at LunaChics in Exeter. Also, the organization accepted new members to its junior board, Young Philanthropists for Mentoring: AJ Camlin, wealth advisory associate at Morgan Stanley in Portsmouth; Casey Reynolds, girls lacrosse coach at Oyster River High School in Durham; Travis Smith, home mortgage consultant at Wells Fargo in Portsmouth; and Emil Uliano, realtor at Great Island Realty in Portsmouth, who has been elected as president of the junior board.

CCS New England in Nashua hired Jamie Osgood, former operations manager for Kohl's Department Stores, as warehouse manager.

Pierce Atwood in Portsmouth hired Leonard Gerzon, principal of Len Gerzon, LLC in Amherst, as senior property tax advisor.

Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord donated $50,000 to the NH Historical Society in Concord. The donation will be used to support the society's expansion to an online platform.

Faulkner & Associates, formerly located in Portsmouth, has moved to KW Commercial in Bedford and Portsmouth from the Bean Group in Portsmouth. The real estate practice is now located in Andover, Mass.

Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation in Portsmouth made the list of "10 Amazing Organizations Bravely Fighting for Marine Conservation" put out by One Green Planet, an online environmentalist publication based out of Wash.

John Howe, director of Business Transition Strategies in Pembroke, became a registered representative of Stillpoint Capital in Fla.

The McLane Law Firm in Manchester hired two attorneys, Margaret Bateman as an associate in the corporate department and Chris Swiniarski as an associate in the real estate department. Both attorneys came from Boston based law firms prior to joining McLane.

The Small Business Administration in Concord announced that in the fiscal year 2013 small construction firms in NH were awarded $1.2 billion in contracts from the federal government and were guaranteed $4.9 billion in public and private contracts thanks to the Surety Bond Guarantee Program.

International Cars, Ltd. in Mass. appointed Nancy Oeser as general manager of Dover Honda and Dover Chevrolet both in Dover. Previous to the appointment, Oeser was general sales manager at Prime Acura North in North Hampton.

Martin Wosnik, professor of mechanical engineering at UNH in Durham, was awarded a Patriotic Employer Award from the NH Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee in Concord for his support of graduate student Matthew Rowell in balancing Navy Reserve duties and UNH research.

The NH Bar Foundation in Concord named Richard Cohen, executive director of the Disabilities Rights Center of NH in Concord, a 2014 Honorary Fellow.
