FairPoint Communications of Manchester completed a network project at Mount Washington Observatory in North Conway, providing faster and more reliable Internet, phone, and video conferencing services to the nonprofit research and educational institution.

Michael A. Pignatelli became a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal association in America. Pignatelli is a shareholder in the firm of Rath, Young & Pignatelli, PC with offices in Concord, Nashua, and Boston.

Karin Duchesne joined the Nashua Bank in Nasha as mortgage loan originator. The Nashua Bank is a division of Lake Sunapee Bank, which has offices in Sunapee, Andover, and New London. Duchesne worked in the greater Nashua area for the past 7 years for a mortgage lending company, and 6 years prior as a residential loan officer for a national bank.

Concord law firm Orr & Reno hired Rebecca Perkins as a new associate, serving in the firm's business law practice area. Perkins' practice focuses on transactional and regulatory work, including acquisitions, financing transactions, and real estate development.

Brookstone Builders, Inc. in Manchester completed the design and building renovation project for St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. The project involved a complete interior fit-up of a new 4,800 square foot microbiology laboratory, installation of air conditioning, a heating system, and bathroom renovations.

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, located in Concord, hired Tiffany M. Nardino as its educational coordinator for programs. The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord is a lively science center, featuring 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science and engineering programs.

State tourism officials in Concord launched a new Group Travel Planning website to help plan reunions, club outings, and other group travel.

North Branch Construction of Concord received an awarded contract for the First Congregational Church of Wolfeboro. The plan includes, but not limited to, the demolition of 3,800 square feet of the existing facilities above the lower level Fellowship Hall and kitchen.

ProEx, a physical therapist owned private practice with offices in Stratham and Somersworth, named Andrew Dawkins of Exeter as exercise technician at its Stratham and Somersworth offices. Dawkins' will assist staff physical therapists with patient care.

The Concord Parent Information Center board of directors named Michelle Lewis, M. Ed. as executive director. Pior to this promotion, Lewis served as the interim executive director since August, replacing Kevin Lew-Hanson. She has also been a project manager for over 10 years.

Building on Hope, a Manchester community organization that works with builders, architects, designers and suppliers to provide physical improvements to non-profit facilities, is searching for its next community improvement project.

Rivier University in Nashua appointed four new members to its board of trustees: Kevin Curran, Kevin Halloran, Mary Jane King, and  Sister Janice Perrault. Curran serves as president and managing member of Curran 800 Technology Center Drive, LLC in Mass. Halloran serves as an investment advisory representative with LPL Financial in Londonderry. King serves as president of Conway Management in Nashua. Sister Janice serves as the assistant provincial for the U.S. Province of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in Mass.

The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission in Concord approved Manchester's FairPoint Communications' proposal to allow the company to invest about $2.8 million of service quality penalties incurred during 2009 and 2010 to further expand broadband in NH. The total amount invested through the proposal is $3.3 million with FairPoint's contribution of $500,000.

The Concord Chamber of Commerce in Concord elected Bobby Segal as chair-elect to the Chamber. Segal serves as a key member of the Chamber's Executive Committee.

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce in Dover annouced its 2013 board of directors and officers. New to the board is Sean O'Connell of Shaheen & Gordon, PA in Dover. The board also includes: Mark Boulanger of Raiche & Company, CPA's, PA in Dover; Jonathan Burns of Liberty Mutual in Dover; Catalina J.
