Hampshire First Bank, located in Manchester, named Samantha Wilhelm as manager of its Keene branch. Wilhelm's responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the branch, including customer service, small business lending, deposit activity, and market growth.

In Durham, the University of New Hampshire was awarded a five-year federal grant of 1.25 million dollars from the U.S. Department of Education for the Early Childhood Special Education Assistive Technology Project, which will allow UNH to meet the regional workforce needs for children with disabilities through third grade.

Colby-Sawyer College in New London announced Professor of Exercise and Sport Sciences Jean Eckrich as the David H. Winton Endowed Teaching Chair and Professor of Natural Sciences Benjamin B. Steele as the M. Roy London Endowed Chair.

Rye-based Gilbane Building Company hosted its Fourth Annual Charity Golf Classic, to which over 115 golfers attended. The event was held at Wentworth by the Sea Country Club and raised more than $32,000 for Gilbane's northern New England charitable and educational program.

Elliot Health System in Manchester hosted the 11th Annual Elliot Hospital Gala that raised almost $100,000 in support of the care given to children through the offerings of New Hampshire's Hospital for Children. Over 450 people attended the event.
