The Prevention Research Center at Dartmouth in Lebanon joined with community leaders in Keene, Manchester, and St. Johnsbury, Vt. to conduct a community-based participatory research project, "InShape Together". The project aims to improve the cardiovascular health of residents in vulnerable populations in NH and Vt. by pairing individuals with mental illness with health coaches. The program will run monthly from late July until March 2013.

Maple-Leaf Construction Co., Inc. in Nashua was selected as the local authorized supplier/erector of Butler Buildings for F.W. Webb, a wholesale plumbing and heating supplies company in Dover. The new building, which houses a 40,000 square foot storage warehouse, a 12,000 square foot service center, and a 5,000 square foot showroom, will serve as a retail center for F.W. Webb and is expected to be completed in early fall. Butler Buildings are constructed in partnership with Butler Manufacturing, a metal building-solutions company based in Mo.

North Branch Construction in Concord completed the interior fit-up of the Fresenius Medical Care Center in Conway. The clinic features state-of-the-art dialysis equipment and modern accommodations for patients. CWS Architects of Portland, Maine provided architectural services for the project. North Branch is currently working on another clinic of Fresenius Medical Care located in Dover.

Caron & Bletzer, PLLC in Kingston named Ann T. Driscoll as principal. Driscoll has been with the firm since 1999 and previously served as finance manager at Healthsource Preferred in Hooksett.

The law firm of Upton & Hatfield in Concord donated $1,000 to the Kimball Jenkins School of Art in Concord. The donation was made in support of the school's "Paint the Town" art auction and reception, which will feature artwork by Concord artists and students to help raise funds for the school and estate.

Karl Norwood of NAI Norwood Group in Bedford was named REALTOR of the Year by the NH Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS (CIBOR), based in Bedford. Norwood, along with his wife, Louise, opened his first residential real estate office in 1968 and sold the company in 1982 to concentrate on commercial services. The company developed more than $100 million in real estate projects, and in 2008 Northwood re-entered the residential business as Real Living/The Norwood Group in 2008. Norwood was selected for his contribution to the community and his conduct of business reflecting the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS. His name will be submitted in the NH Association of REALTORS statewide competition for the REALTOR of the Year, who will be recognized at the state convention in September.

Residences at Portwalk, a luxury apartment complex in Portsmouth, was awarded LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Cathartes Private Investments of Boston is the developer and owner of the property and Pro Con, Inc. in Hooksett was the architect and construction manager. The complex, which consists of 36 homes above first floor retail spaces, reports that it attained a 31% improvement in energy performance after incorporating the sustainable design practices. The additions to the complex include the installation of more efficient windows, EnergyStar appliances in every apartment, and plumbing fixtures that reduce water usage.

Emily Delldonna joined the family medicine department of Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene. Delldonna previously served as a counselor and medic in a wilderness therapy program, a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner in fields including pediatrics, women's health and in-patient hospitalist care.

Wells Fargo Advisors in Manchester named Denise Petrin a financial advisor. Petrin previously served for 3 years as a financial advisor with Edward Jones.

Tony Bruno joined marketing agency Act One Creative in Concord as business development manager. Bruno has more than twenty years of experience in the industry, and previously served as an award-winning multi-media account executive for a publishing company.

Engineering firm Tighe & Bond in Portsmouth appointed R. Eric Pease as a senior engineer. Pease has design experience in landfill covers, foundations, levees, and water supply and has lectured full-time for the civil engineering department at the University of NH in Durham. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Attorney Bill Loginov, principal of Loginov & Associates, LLC in Concord, was selected to serve as a member of the Young Rescuers USA Advisory Council. Young Rescuers USA is a Manchester-based nonprofit that helps youth develop their life saving skills and promotes international understanding and friendship. The seven-member team will represent the U.S. at the International Rally of Young Rescuers in Belarus.

Karen Dutcher retired after 18 years of service as VP, patient care services of Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Dutcher provided administrative support and leadership in the fields of infection prevention, care management, and at the Center for Cancer Care. Prior to joining the hospital, she served as director of operations at Allegheny Neuropsychiatric Institute in Penn. and in numerous nurse management positions at Dartmouth Medical Center in Hanover. She also served as a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and of the VHA New England Nurse Executive Council.

Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro appointed Michael P. Connelly as CEO. Connelly joined the hospital in July 2011 as the interim CFO. He has worked in the health care industry for more than 25 years, serving at academic medical centers, single and multi-specialty physician groups, and community hospitals. Prior to joining Huggins, Connelly was the president and CEO of ProviderLogic, Inc., a Boston-based health care consulting firm. He also served on the adjunct faculty at Simmons College and the Boston University School of Public Health where he taught nonprofit accounting and health care finance courses.
