More than $90,000 was raised for NH's Hospital for Children at Elliot Hospital in Manchester at the 13th Annual Elliot Hospital Golf Classic held at Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield. 54 businesses sponsored the event, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, EPIC Systems Corporation, and People's United Bank.

NeighborWorks Greater Manchester received three awards for its development efforts in Manchester's West Granite neighborhood. It received the 2012 Neighborhood Improvement Historic Preservation Award from the Manchester Historic Association for its redevelopment methods, the 2012 Merit Award of Excellence from Plan NH for its practice of smart growth and sustainability in the neighborhood, and the 2012 NH Preservation Alliance Award from the NH Preservation Alliance for its outstanding planning, revitalization, and advocacy of the West Granite Revitalization Initiative.

St. Mary's Bank in Manchester made a $1,000 donation to the Society for the Protection of NH Forests on behalf of members who opted to receive electronic bank statements. The credit union has donated $4,000 to state environmental organizations since it initiated its paperless banking campaign four years ago.

Judi Hess was reelected to the board of directors of the New England Financial Marketing Association, based in Watertown, Mass., after serving a five-year term. She was also appointed vice chair of the association's sales and marketing committee. Hess is the founder and owner of Customer Perspectives, a nationwide mystery shopping firm based in Hooksett, and is president of the North America Mystery Shopping Providers Association.

Wanda Clough was appointed as a board member to the Northern New England Center of Financial Training, based in Maine. Clough is a staff development assistant at Lake Sunapee Bank, headquartered in Newport.

The Net Impact chapter of Antioch University New England in Keene earned Gold Standing designation. Net Impact is a nationwide nonprofit network that promotes the use of business skills to help the planet and foster goodwill. The standing is achieved by meeting a set of requirements based on the activities, programming, and membership reach of each organization. The university launched the Net Impact chapter in 2007 through its MBA in Sustainability program. This past year, the chapter launched the Perpetual Food Pledge, a food donation initiative. In addition to the designation, the chapter will receive special recognition in Business as UNusual, Net Impact's annual publication.

The American College of Surgeons re-verified Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon as a Level 1 trauma center. The re-verification, which lasts for three years, was approved after a team of trauma experts completed an on-ste review of the hospital that included investigation into the center's commitment levels, resources, policies, patient care level, and performance improvement rates.

Optima Bank & Trust in Portsmouth added several members to its staff: Tricia J. Bertone was named VP and controller, Grey Bowden was named VP and senior credit officer, and Debbie Moore was named assistant branch manager.

Portsmouth creative studio Imagination Counts received the 2012 Classic Board Game of the Year Award from Creative Child Magazine for its original game, Googolplex Solitaire. The award was based on votes from parents and teachers.

Jewett Automotive Design & Construction in Raymond completed renovations to the Fenton Family Dealerships' Hyundai of Keene at 14 Production Way in Keene. The project included an exterior face lift of the existing building, the addition of an Exterior Insulation Finishing System, and the installation of metal panels.

Citizens Bank NH promoted Michael Parisi to regional manager of the bank's in-store locations. Parisi will specifically be responsible for the operation of 17 store branches located within retail establishments in the central and seacoast regions of the state. Parisi joined the bank in 2006 and most recently served as branch manager of the Goffstown in-store branch.

Eaton & Berube Agency, Inc. named Mary Mace commercial account manager of its Nashua location. Mace was previously employed as a department assistant and account manager at USI Insurance Services in Bedford.

Sullivan Creative in Concord received four creative excellence awards during the New England Direct Marketing Association Annual Awards Show. The agency received a gold award for a business-to-consumer brand ad campaign for Red River Theatres in Concord, a gold award for the Annual League of NH Craftsmen's Fair in Concord, a bronze award for its campaign with the NH Open Doors event, and a silver award for a direct mail catalog used to promote the League of NH Craftsmen Craft Center education program.
