St. Mary's Bank Grants Funds to Family Resource Center

Published Wednesday Oct 15, 2008

St. Mary's Bank recently granted $2,163 to the Upper Room, a family resource center servicing the Greater Derry region. The donation will be used to purchase a central computer system.

We at St. Mary's Bank are pleased to partner with organizations like the Upper Room, says Tom Champagne, director of community outreach at St. Mary's Bank. Their work focuses on educating families, which is an important part of strengthening our communities and promoting the welfare of our children.

The Upper Room is a non-profit organization providing prevention and early intervention services to children, youth and families in Southern New Hampshire. Through programs such as parent education, drug and alcohol education for youth, and in-home family counseling, the Upper Room fulfills its mission to provide people with the services and resources they need to live happier, healthier and more self-sufficient lives.

This gift from St. Mary's Bank will help the Upper Room streamline its processes and better provide services to the families that need them, says Kimberly Bavaro, Upper Room executive director. Technology is an integral part of our work, because it helps staff immediately access available community services and allows for a seamless flow of information among staff and the community. We're grateful to St. Mary's for their generous donation.
