It's long been known that sitting for hours on end is bad for your health. The treadmill desk was one invention to correct this. But not everyone can walk on a treadmill and type, talk on the phone, or do anything else at the same time without falling. Ball chairs have their fans (members of this magazine staff included), but are not for those with bad posture and they don't always have back support. So what is a regular sit-at-a-desk person to do? Try the newest trend in this arena: desk cycling. These small machines are like rowing machines for your feet and fit under a typical desk so you sit, work and pedal all at once.
