Published Monday Feb 28, 2011

On Feb 2, Neil Raj, looking for potential investors, appeared on Business News Network's program The Pitch. Raj received three yeses from the panel of capitalists: Leslie Roberts, president and founder of the Goforth Institute, John Varghese, CEO of Venturelink Funds, and Vince Mazza, managing partner at Hallbrook Capital.

Raj impressed the panel with a 90-seconds overview of his industry know-how.

Learn from Raj how to make your perfect pitch.

Rule 1 - Give a clear, brief description of your business.

Rule 2 - Show the potential of your business - do you have statistics? If so, use them.

Rule 3 - Show how your business is already successful.

Rule 4 - Define who your consumers are and how they benefit from your product or service.

Rule 5 - Avoid industry terms that the average person doesn't know. If you must use them, explain them clearly.

Rule 6 - Explain how you will use investment dollars to expand your business?
