Editor's Note: This story was updated on June 13 withthe results of NH Gives 2024.

More than 650 NH nonprofits participated in NH Gives on June 11-12, the Granite State’s biggest day of giving. In total, the 24-hour event raised $3,479,318 from 14,583 donors to beneit those organizaitons.

Now in its ninth year, NH Gives, an initiative of the NH Center for Nonprofits, is NH’s largest online fundraising event for nonprofits. NH Gives increases awareness for the state’s charitable organizations while providing a platform for them to raise funds for their missions. The 24-hour day of giving took place from 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12.

Since 2016, the annual event has raised more than $15 million for more than 1,000 organizations. Last year, over $3.5 million was raised for 610 nonprofits by more than 15,000 donors. This year, a record breaking 650 nonprofit organizations will participate, sharing their stories of impact and asking Granite Staters to pitch in to help fund critical work across the state. People can also take advantage of more than $620,000 in nonprofit matches to increase the impact of their contributions.

“This year, we have more nonprofits signed on than ever. It’s very exciting,” says Kathleen Reardon, CEO for the NH Center for Nonprofits. “The growth of NH Gives indicates that nonprofits recognize it as an opportunity to reach new donors to support their missions.”

“The Center’s goal, as always, is to increase support for our state’s nonprofits. We are proud to provide this platform to increase awareness for the good and important work that is being done by the passionate and committed people in the nonprofit sector,” says Reardon.

To encourage other donors to give during the 24-hour event, the NH Charitable Foundation and its donors offered $30,000 in “Power of Community” prizes to the organizations that have the highest number of unique online donors over the 24 hours.

"Nonprofits make New Hampshire a better place for all of us. And they have continued to carry out their missions, delivering critical services and programs, despite increasingly complex challenges in recent years,” says Richard Ober, president and CEO of the NH Charitable Foundation and lead sponsor of NH Gives. "The growth of NH Gives over time shows that people in New Hampshire recognize the importance of nonprofits to our community, they recognize that we are in this together, and they are eager to show up and do their part to support the great work being done.”
