Pat's Peak Investing for Winter

Published Friday Sep 2, 2016

Pat's Peak in Henniker may have bare slopes now, but it is busy making improvements to ensure that will not be the case this winter, no matter what mother nature does or does not send our way.

This year's improvements include:

  • The addition of six additional fan guns.
  • A new snow making power line is also being installed to double the amount of fan guns that can run at the same time.
  • More rental equipment and a self-check-in system in the rental shop.
  • Additional seasonal lockers.

"We know that New England winters can vary in temperature and natural snowfall therefore we strive to have exceptional snowmaking to give our guests time to enjoy the slopes no matter what the weather," says General Manager, Kris Blomback. "Our goal is to open more terrain faster and sustain it longer through stretches with marginal winter temperatures. These new snow guns and new power line will help make this possible even faster than in previous seasons."

Pat's Peak has 28 groomed trails, nine gladed areas, three terrain parks and 11 high capacity lifts. It has has more than 70 adult racing teams in the Adult Corporate Racing League, a Weekday Learn to Ski and Ride Program for more than 8,000 kids from over 100 local schools.
