New Tenants Bring Life To Keene Landmarks

Published Tuesday May 19, 2015

Brady Sullivan Properties in Manchester is welcoming 12 new business tenants to its recently acquired properties in downtown Keene: the Center at Colony Mill and Colony Mill Marketplace. These new transactions total more than 40,000 square feet and include businesses that reach a broad demographic within Keene and the surrounding area.

“Since we took ownership of both of these properties in February 2014, we have seen explosive growth in the interest of these historic locations,” said Charles N. Panasis, director of commercial real Estate at Brady Sullivan. “Both the Center at Colony Mill and the Colony Mill Marketplace have been landmarks in the town for years, and we’re excited about what these new business relationships will offer the residents of Keene.”

The new businesses include: Barton Associates, a medical recruiting firm that now occupies more than 13,000 sf at the Center at Colony Mill; Cheshire Medical now inhabits nearly 18,000 square feet at the Center at Colony Mill; and Connell Communications with more than 2800 square feet at the Colony Mill. Additional new businesses at the Colony Mill Marketplace at 222 West Street are MJD Hair Design; Dr. Donald Hudson, DMD; Abramson, Brown, & Dugan; Black Squirrel Studio; Enterprize Comics, Etc.; and Vermont Custom Cabinets. Keene Fusion; Hannah’s Books; and Michael Blair Real Estate round out the additions at the Center at Colony Mill at 149 Emerald Street. These new transactions were a combined effort of the Brady Sullivan leasing team of Panasis, Benjamin S. Kelley, and Elizabeth A. Sachetta.

Since Brady Sullivan Properties took ownership of the Colony Mill Marketplace and the Center at Colony Mill, the real estate development company has invested close to $1 million in improvements, including new sidewalks, granite curbing and parking lots, and new signage.

Founded by Arthur Sullivan and Shane Brady in 1992, Brady Sullivan Properties has developed a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial real estate, owning and managing more than 4 million square feet of mill, office, and industrial space. The company holds a sizeable share of both the commercial and residential real estate market throughout New England, with properties in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Recent commercial acquisitions include 900 Elm Street (City Hall Plaza), 3000 Goffs Falls Road, and 1050 Perimeter Road, all of which are in Manchester.
