New England College is launching a Center for Sales Excellence, adding sales concentrations to both its undergraduate and graduate business administration programs, and offering certificate options for professionals in the field.

“New England College’s launch of the Center for Sales Excellence is part of the college's commitment to providing students with accelerated paths to employment and job placement,” says Provost Mark Watman. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, sales and sales management professionals are in high demand, and long-term job growth prospects are expected to average 8 percent per year through 2022.  “Sales skills are highly marketable and transferable,” says Kevin Martin, associate dean of New England College’s management division.  “Our students want skills that differentiate them from others.”

Based on student needs and the demands of the marketplace, New England College’s Center for Sales Excellence has developed a suite of online and classroom options to build strategic sales management skills:

1.  Through the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Concentration in Strategic Sales Management, students learn to design and execute professional sales strategies, with emphasis placed on personal selling, technology, and customer relationship management.

2.  The Graduate Certificate in Strategic Sales Management is aimed at professionals who want to develop a strong sales skillset and a deeper understanding of sales management.

3.  Executive Graduate Certificate in Strategic Sales Management is for professionals with at least three years of sales experience who are looking to expand their expertise. In partnership with Sales & Marketing Executives International Inc. (SMEI), successful completion of the Executive Graduate Certificate in Sales Management will include SMEI designation as a Certified Sales Executive.

4.  MBA with a Concentration in Strategic Sales Management will prepare students seeking careers in product, service, or brand management to design and oversee successful sales strategies while maintaining customer relationships in a variety of organizational settings.
