Published Wednesday Oct 5, 2016

The Monadnock United Way in Keene hired Liz LaRose as president. LaRose formerly served as director of marketing and communications for Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield. She begins at Monadnock United Way on Oct. 31.

“We are delighted to have Liz join Monadnock United Way,” says Board Chairman Terrence L. Williams. “She arrives as we are completing work on a new strategic plan and introducing new approaches that will have more impact on the people in this region. Implementing that plan and bringing together our community, our donors and our partners toward achieving a shared vision and goals will be critical, and we think Liz’s skills and experience are ideal for leading us through this transition and beyond.”

LaRose has been at Crotched Mountain since September 2010. Prior to that, she ran her own marketing and communications company, LaRose Marketing Communications Inc., in Peterborough. "The Monadnock United Way is well respected for the positive impact that it has had in our region for well more than 60 years,” says LaRose. “I’m honored to join the Monadnock United Way and work within a vibrant community that is known for its dedication to strengthening and improving the quality of life for those who live and work here.”

LaRose is a graduate of Rivier College in Nashua with a bachelor’s degree in communications and is a graduate of the Leadership NH Class of 2011.

LaRose takes over for Kathy Harrington, who served six years and left to be executive director for the Monadnock Humane Society.
