Further staking its status as Granite State citizens' go-to resource for the most important issues facing their communities and state, The Live Free or Die Alliance (www.livefreeordiealliance.org)-NH's Virtual Town Hall-unveiled a new online tool kit devoted to the state's first-in-the-nation Presidential Primary.
The LFDA's 2012 Presidential Primary election guide provides NH voters with an unbiased, interactive, continually evolving look at the candidates, issues and discussions most likely to define next year's penultimate contest for the presidency. At the click of mouse and in NH's grand tradition, voters will be able to follow the horserace and intimately acquaint themselves with the personalities, and ideas driving each campaign before casting their historic votes next January.
"New Hampshire voters are already the nation's best educated about the candidates seeking the presidency and the issues informing their campaigns," says LFDA founding member Anna Grace Holloway. "The LFDA exists to give these citizens the best information possible as they study policies and candidates to formulate their decisions. We are excited and proud to launch this new guide. We believe it will be a difference-maker in the year ahead."
With an all-star assemblage of editors, experts and researchers, the LFDA's Presidential Primary election guide arms voters with the same host of resources and incisive analysis (from biographical data and side-by-side issue comparisons of the candidates to campaign finance reports, money-trail trackers, opinion and open debate) that have made the LFDA the Granite State's premier citizenship tool and all-inclusive battleground of ideas.
"Regardless of views or party affiliation, we've been excited to build a site in which each citizen has a seat at the table," says LFDA founding member Gary Hirshberg, "The free exchange of ideas is central to democracy, and we are confident this new tool will only enhance that."
Adds LFDA founding member Tom Thomson: "Candidates here in New Hampshire receive the sharpest scrutiny of any state in the nation. Ours is a state that prides itself on shaping and often changing the face of Presidential campaigns, We are proud to play an exciting new part in continuing this tradition in the Live Free or Die state."
With its roots in the town hall debates that have for centuries defined NH's political tradition, the LFDA was launched in 2008 by a diverse group of NH citizens. Their desire is to reduce partisan rancor and engage neighbors in spirited but civil discussion of the issues affecting their communities and their families. The LFDA has since emerged as a modern, dynamic forum for learning and talking about the policies and politics that shape people's lives. Today, the LFDA's members and followers on Facebook and Twitter number over 5,000, spanning age and ideology, their discussions informing elected officials and furthering the values, traditions and sense of civic responsibility vital to the New Hampshire Way.
