Last Flight Out to Land at the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

WMUR-TV anchor, Jennifer Vaughn, announced her debut novel, Last Flight Out, was chosen as a gift item for the Talent Lounge at the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Beverly Hills, California. The novel is a mix of political intrigue and family drama, and has received numerous positive reviews and commendations, such as Book of the Week at The New Hampshire Public Library.

The co-anchor of WMUR News 9 at 6, Vaughn has been with the affilate station since 1997. She has been nominated for several Emmy awards for breaking news coverage and political programming. She is the recipient of numerous broadcasting awards including the prestigious Peabody Award recognizing the tradition of exceptional presidential politics coverage on WMUR-TV. Additionally, Vaughn, along with WMUR, has earned Best Newscast honors, Golden Mike Awards, and the Sword of Hope Award from the American Red Cross.

During the event in Beverly Hills, celebrities from daytime television will be given a copy of Vaughn's book during their visit through the Talent Lounge. Vaughn says she is thrilled to be in the company of such highly esteemed TV personalities, and to share the true mission of her novel. Proceeds from Last Flight Out are donated to NH breast cancer charities. As Vaughn puts it, Jennifer says, "This is a wonderful opportunity to continue the effort of spreading hope and bringing support to each breast cancer patient and her family.”
