Kate Luczko to Step Down as President/CEO of Stay Work Play

At the end of August, Kate Luczko will leave her position as president and CEO of Stay Work Play in Manchester, a nonprofit that encourages 20 and 30 year olds to stay, work and play in the Granite State.

“I am honored to have been a part of leading positive change in our communities and engaging New Hampshire’s leaders around workforce issues,” says Luczko. “We know how critical 20 and 30 year olds are to the economic and social vitality of New Hampshire, and I’m proud to have built a great team with Stay Work Play.”

Matt Cookson, president and CEO of Cookson Strategic Communications in Manchester and a spokesperson for Stay Work Play, says Luczko "will be taking some time to consider next career steps and be available to help Stay Work Play during the transition."

“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Kate for her service and dedication in building Stay Work Play from the ground up,” says Travis York, co-chair of Stay Work Play and president and CEO of integrated ad agency GYK Antler in Manchester. “What started as an idea in 2009 is now the leading statewide organization that connects young people to each other and their communities, to internships and jobs, and to the vibrant life New Hampshire has to offer.”

Stay Work Play promotes the retention and attraction of young talent in New Hampshire. The organization engages students at NH’s colleges and universities through programming and its internship website, which offers thousands of employment opportunities available at NH companies. The nonprofit has also facilitated the growth of 13 young professionals’ organizations throughout the state and hosts an annual Rising Stars event. The organization has a 40 member Board of Advisors, composed of NH business, education and nonprofit leaders.
