Published Tuesday Oct 25, 2016

The Business Finance Authority (BFA) named James Key-Wallace as the organization's next executive director. Key-Wallace starts work in mid-November. He succeeds Jack Donovan, who is retiring at the end of the year after leading the BFA for 23 years.

Key-Wallace comes to the BFA with a background in finance, investment and relationship development in NH. He has served as a senior investor at Vested for Growth and the NH Community Loan Fund since 2008 as part of the business finance team responsible for all aspects of loans to NH-based businesses. He has also served as vice president of the Monadnock Economic Development Corporation in Keene and marketing projects coordinator with Staff Development for Educators in Peterborough.

"We are excited about James' appointment as executive director and [are] looking forward to the business and financial experience he brings to the organization. He really knows New Hampshire," says BFA Board Chair Ed Caron. "Jack Donovan has been amazing and has left the BFA in great shape. We are looking forward to the future and meeting the ever-changing credit needs of New Hampshire's business community."

The BFA was created in 1992 to foster economic development and create jobs in NH. The BFA works with NH's banking, business, and economic development sectors to develop and implement programs to expand the availability of credit in the state. The BFA's financing has supported manufacturers, small and medium-sized businesses, health care providers, and nonprofit educatio and cultural organizations.
