Total investments by Angel investors nationally increased 12.1% between 2010 and 2011 to $22.5 billion. A total of 66,230 entrepreneurial ventures received angel funding in 2011, an increase of 7.3% from 2010, while the number of active investors reached 318,480, up 20%.
