According to Inc. magazine, small-business owners grappling with the highest prices in four decades may finally be getting a slight reprieve.
Inflation eased in October—a sign the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest-rate hiking campaign could be starting to stem the price pressures that have been plaguing businesses since last year. The Consumer Price Index increased by 0.4% in October, the same rate of increase from the month prior, and down from the peak of 1.3% in June, according to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday.
