How NH Vote Could Change America

The race between Democratic Governor Maggie Hassan and GOP rising star Senator Kelly Ayotte is considered by many one of the most  important this November for a number of reasons:  One, it is the most high-profile political contest between two women and the most expensive race ever run in NH, with an estimated $100 million likely to have been spent, according to the Economist.

The race has been tight all summer, with polls showing the two women in a close matchup. While Ayotte had led in many polls in 2015, A University of NH Survey Center poll in July put Hassan slightly ahead, 45 percent o 42 percent for Ayotte. The two candidates have agreed to six debates.
