Published Thursday Jan 9, 2014

In its annual compilation of “Best Online Degree Programs (www.usnews.com/education/online-education), U.S. News & World Report has awarded Granite State College (GSC) two top rankings for 2014.

In both categories, GSC, which is one of four public institutions within the University System of New Hampshire, is the #1 ranked institution in New Hampshire. Nationwide, GSC ranks #48 for online bachelor’s programs and #73 for online graduate business degrees. This is GSC’s second appearance in the bachelor’s degree category and its first for master’s degrees.

“Each day, we see and experience how the average college student is challenged by expensive tuition rates—a predicament that’s always a top concern for working adults. This drives our students to look at affordable online institutions, like Granite State College, and being recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report is a special honor,” said Kathi Mullin, chief administrative officer of Granite State College.

U.S. News evaluates several factors to determine the listing, including student engagement, faculty credentials, peer reputation, and student support services and technology.

Granite State College is a large public provider of online courses in NH and the college says in a press release that they continue to grow. For more information about the schools or programs, visit www.granite.edu.
