Frugality is Cool

Published Friday Aug 5, 2011

Our staff frugality expert says you can always find money at home. Start with books. The Toadstool Bookshop in Peterborough will buy back some popular books if you live close to that neck of the woods. If not, try selling your books on Craigslist, Amazon.com or eBay. Another way to save money is to avoid buying books altogether. Swap books with your friends or borrow from your local library. And avoid bookstores if you can't help but leave them with an armload of books you'll never get around to reading. Of course, you already know not to buy books new, right? Used books are now available everywhere.
