Forecasters say: No doubt we're in a recession

DOVER - To explain the unfolding of "one of the worst economic crises" in the nation's history to his students, Jim Wible has had them imagine riding a roller coaster.

"It's just when you begin momentum - and you start over the peak and begin to go downward - you can feel that last bit of acceleration," the University of New Hampshire economics professor said Monday. "We don't know now if we're on the biggest down loop of the roller coaster or if it's going to be a small one. Obviously, we all hope it's going to be small."
