FairPoint President Steps Down

Published Wednesday Oct 12, 2011

FairPoint Communications, Inc. announced that Teresa Rhodes Rosenberger, New Hampshire state president, has stepped down from her position with the company.  Rosenberger served as NH state president since January 2010 and was responsible for regulatory matters, governmental relations, public relations and economic development for FairPoint Communications in the Granite State.

Teresa has been a valued leader in the company and we will miss the passion and commitment to excellence that have been the hallmarks of her position as New Hampshire state president, said Peter Nixon, executive vice president of external affairs & operational support at FairPoint. We want to thank Teresa for her work as state president and we look forward to working with her upon her return to Devine Millimet.

Before joining FairPoint, Rosenberger was a member of the Governmental Relations and Regulatory Affairs group at Devine Millimet & Branch. She will be returning to Devine Millimet and will continue to provide strategic insights and legislative and regulatory guidance to clients at the firm. FairPoint also announced that Pat McHugh, vice president and assistant general counsel, will fill the role of state president duties in the interim until the position is filled.

This news follows the layoff of nearly 200 NH-based FairPoint employees within the past few weeks.
