Devine Millimet Names Charles Giacopelli as New Firm President

Devine Millimet, one of the largest law firms in northern New England, elected Charles Giacopelli as president  He succeeds Jon Sparkman, who is concluding his second three-year term as the Manchester firm’s president.
 
Giacopelli begans his term on Jan. 1, overseeing the strategic direction and growth of Devine Millimet, as well as the firm’s operations. Devine Millimet has offices in Manchester, Concord, Portsmouth, as well as Boston, employing 65 attorneys, and 75 administrative staff members.
 
“Serving as president of Devine Millimet over the past six years has been an honor and privilege. Being afforded the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our shareholders and employees has been a rewarding experience, and I’m pleased to turn the leadership of the firm over to Charles Giacopelli who shares the firm’s vision and culture,” says Sparkman. “Charles’ leadership has benefitted Devine Millimet for many years. At various times he has been a member of our Board of Directors, served on the firm’s Compensation Committee, headed up our Budget Committee, and also chaired the firm’s Pension Committee. Having been involved in the business of the firm for many years, Charles is well positioned to lead the firm. Charles is a superb lawyer who has and will continue to make a real impact on our community and clients.”

Giacopelli  will also continue his workers’ compensation defense practice, representing private and public employers in all areas of workers’ compensation law. Sparkman will resume his business law practice as outside general counsel to both for profit and nonprofit organizations focusing on business law and tax issues.
