Connecting to Workforce Resources

Published Monday Apr 2, 2018

A series of five events designed to connect employers in core industries with resources to help them grow, attract and retain talent kicked off this week at Manchester Community College. Additional events will be held in Keene, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Berlin in the coming weeks, as part of the Connecting Workforce Resources Spring Tour, organized and led by the Sector Partnerships Initiative and ApprenticeshipNH. The tour focuses on five core industries: construction, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and technology.

“The Connecting Workforce Resources Spring Tour is a great opportunity for businesses to learn about a range of resources available to them in New Hampshire,” says Phil Przybyszewski, workforce solutions project director for the Sector Partnerships Initiative. He says many businesses may not be aware of the full range of resources available and the tour is a chance see what might align best with their workforce development plans.

Each event will have a speed networking format during which company representatives can get an overview of the core workforce resource programs available to them. Attendees will then be able to go more in depth by meeting with individuals from those programs and organizations. Each event will feature representatives from the Sector Partnerships Initiative, ApprenticeshipNH, the Office of Workforce Opportunity, Work Ready, individual college business training centers at each local community college and the Department of Employment Security.
