Class of 2014 Continues Eric Grady

Published Thursday Aug 14, 2014

In recent years, there’s been increased concern by state leaders about whether NH can keep its best and brightest. With the help of the NH College and University Council in Concord, Business NH Magazine checked in with colleges and universities around the state to find out what their top students are planning. Here’s what one graduate reported back to us.

Eric Grady, Keene Sate College

Hometown: Auburn, Mass.

Degree Earned: BA in Political Science and minor in Economics

GPA: 3.1

Career Aspirations: I hope to enter politics one day, and change our country for the better. In the meantime, I’m looking for a position in the marketing or nonprofit fields.

Graduate School: I would like to down the road but need to make some money to pay for it first.

Have you landed a job? I’m currently in talks with a home remodeling contractor and a nonprofit.

What are the biggest challenges to finding employment? I’m really looking for a job that I would love doing every day and have found that hard, but know there are jobs out there like that.

Why move out of NH? I grew up in Auburn, Mass. and moved out of NH to save money and live with my parents. I could see moving back to the state if the right career opportunity arose.
