Published Thursday Sep 25, 2008

Tune in tonight to NBC-TV's hit show "The Office" to see the City of Nashua and New Hampshire's own Swan Chocolates featured in the season premiere. Chris Williams, CEO of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce and Michael
Anderson, owner of Swan Chocolates in Merrimack, collaborated to put together a basket of New England treats at the request of the show's producers.

"They sought out our help in having the fictitious Nashua branch offer up a gift basket full of tempting food items, including Swan Chocolates," said Chris Williams. "We're excited they chose us."

The episode will focus on a company-wide weight loss initiative at the show's fictional Dunder Mifflin paper company. The competition causes the Scranton office to diet and become obsessed with their weight - only to have the Nashua branch send a gift basket full of delectable treats, including Swan Chocolates.

When learning of "The Office" episode featuring New Hampshire, Alice DeSouza, Director of the Division of Travel and Tourism Development for the State of New Hampshire said, "This is a fantastic opportunity for Swan Chocolates, the City of Nashua and the entire state as the entertainment world shines its bright spotlight on New Hampshire!"

"The episode will draw national attention to our state as we gear up for the fall season, and we couldn't be more pleased," said DeSouza. "Autumn is a special time of year here, as the leaves are changing colors, the air is crisp, apples are ripe and ready to be picked, and ;ocal fairs and farmers markets are underway showcasing all that our great state has to offer. We're glad that NBC chose New Hampshire - and specifically Nashua and Swan Chocolates - to have a little fun with on
the show. I know I'll be tuning in!"

Season five of "The Office" debuts with a one-hour episode on NBC Thursday, September 25 at 9pm.
