Published Tuesday Oct 7, 2008

The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Citizens Bank will welcome Manchester's new police and fire chiefs at the next Citizens Bank Business Insider Series taking place on October 15, at the Derryfield Restaurant in Manchester, NH.

Panelists Chief James Burkush, Manchester Fire Department; Chief David Mara, Manchester Police Department, and Timothy Soucy, Manchester Public Health Department will join chamber members to discuss their top concerns for the city and new initiatives planned to improve Manchester's disaster preparedness and first response systems. This is a wonderful opportunity for the business community to meet and discuss the future of public safety and health in Manchester with those who are leading the charge in this area, says Robin Comstock, Manchester's chamber president and CEO.

Attendees will learn what systems and procedures Manchester currently has in place and how our police and fire officials will handle future emergencies and safety concerns. Expert panelists will also provide an update on the long-term plans of police and fire departments to expand their community involvement.

This event takes place on October 15 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The cost to attend is $20 for chamber members and $25 for non-members. To register, visit www.manchester-chamber.org or call the chamber office at 603-792-4122.

The Insider Breakfast Series provides attendees with an inside view of the changes taking place in our community. Each month a panel of expert community and business leaders provides information and perspective on future initiatives that affect the business community.
