Getting regular physical exercise is essential for a wholesome, long life. In our increasingly hectic society it can be difficult to find time to exercise, but the great emotional, physical and overall wellness benefits of exercise far outweigh the time and effort it can take to fit it into your schedule. Whether you are a professional athlete or a person who regularly exercises and enjoys physical activity, being active is an irreplaceable part of who you are. When injury or illness inevitably strikes, the resulting pain and lack of physical exercise alters your entire way of life.

Nobody should have to settle for a sedentary lifestyle, but effective sports medicine treatment programs can be hard to find. The good news is that at Apple Therapy Services, we understand the importance of quality sports medicine for those who suffer from physical injuries, and we have the skills, the team and the drive to provide effective treatment. Our highly competent physical therapists, occupational therapists and athletic trainers use the most current, efficient techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to bring you back to the work, the play, and the life you love.

For the past decade Apple Therapy Services has provided athletes of all levels of intensity with the treatment they need to continue living healthy, active lives. Whether you run three times a week, cross-country ski on the weekends with your family, or compete in triathlons and marathons, the Apple Therapy team will work with you and your physician to develop an individualized treatment plan that meets your needs as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. Our therapists work to improve strength and motion and equip you to move forward with a healthy, productive life.

In a recent publication of New Hampshire Sunday News, a NH marathon runner describes her struggles with a painful calf injury that led her to seek treatment at an Apple Therapy clinic. She dreaded going to physical therapy because in the past she had experienced nothing but discouragement and been advised to stop running altogether. Her decision to try Apple Therapy was solidified when she read on Apple's website that their mission is to bring our patients back to the work, the play, and the lives they love. Her Apple Therapy experience brought her this and more. The facility was impressive, with every piece of rehabilitation and stretching and strength-training device you could imagine. The staff was friendly and the mood was upbeat, much less like a doctor's office than I expected. My appointment and examination was beyond thorough. The therapist talked to me-and more importantly, she listened to me. I'm sure I was beaming when she said, Our goal is to have you run the race to the best of your ability.'

Finally, someone got it. At Apple Therapy we know that patients come to us to get back to living fully and freely. We pride ourselves on exceeding expectations, treating each patient as the unique individual that he or she is, and listening with open ears and creative minds. We are the preferred rehabilitation provider for numerous local high schools, colleges, and professional athletes in the community. Services range from providing free physical therapy and training services for thousands of high school athletes through our sister organization The Safe Sports Network, to working with the Manchester Monarchs, and helping moms get back to exercising without pain.

Apple Therapy provides a variety of special services to facilitate musculoskeletal healing and strengthening. One such new special service is trigger point dry needling, which our Londonderry clinic director, Ben Biskovich, is providing. It relieves patients' muscular tightness and spasms that can cause trigger points that compress and irritate nerves. This treatment technique involves inserting small, fine needles into trigger points. Combined with physical therapy exercises, the program does wonders to relieve athletes suffering from reoccurring injuries such as tendonitis, sprains and strains. Our PROS (Post Rehabilitation Orthopedic Specialists) program goes even further, helping people achieve higher levels of performance post injury in specific areas such as competitive running, weightlifting, tennis or golf. PROS offers personalized fitness programs ranging from Pilates with top-notch studio equipment, to weight loss plans, toning plans, and sport specific training.
