BIA to Hold Golf Tournament

Published Thursday Aug 21, 2008

The Business and Industry Association will present the White Mountain Golf Classic at the Mount Washington Resort on Oct. 20. This will be the BIA's first golf tournament to be held at the resort's newly renovated 18-hole Donald Ross golf course.

The White Mountain Golf Classic, which is open to the public, will include first-, second- and third-place prizes, longest-drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions, mulligans, and continental breakfast and lunch for all players. The entry fee is $550 for a team of four or $150 for an individual. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the shotgun tournament will kick off at 10 a.m.

Legendary Scottish Architect Donald Ross designed the 18-hole Mount Washington golf course, which was originally completed in 1915. This par 71 course has hosted four NH Opens and reopened Aug. 1, after being restored to Donald Ross' original plans by golf course architect Brian Silva.
