BIA Launches New Website for Interns and Employers

Published Wednesday Jan 8, 2014

The Business and Industry Association, a New Hampshire-wide chamber of commerce and business advocate, has launched a free website to connect employers and students looking for internships.

In partnership with Internships.com, the BIA has developed a website that allows employers to post available internships at no cost and students to search the available listings, also at no cost.

The site allows employers to easily post internship opportunities, manage applicants with an intuitive interface, proactively recruit students using an extensive resume database and access exclusive resources to help start a new internship program or optimize their current one.

“It’s no secret that internships are the most effective way for students to gain experience before graduation and an invaluable way for businesses to recruit top student talent while providing an extended evaluation period for prospective, entry-level employees,” said BIA President Jim Roche. “Research shows that seven out of 10 students who have had an internship with an employer are hired by that same employer. Connecting college students with local companies helps educate the next generation of our workforce while keeping the best talent and top businesses in New Hampshire.”
