Water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit and “that steam can power anything,” which at Cohen Closing & Title means going above and beyond for customers and coworkers. When employees have a “212” moment, managers and colleagues can post about it, using special hashtags, on Cohen’s online performance platform. Cohen’s executive team then recognizes a monthly 212 award winner with a $100 gift card.

Every new employee is sent a welcome box with company swag (including Yeti tumblers), a welcome note and the Cohen Culture Book that highlights the culture being cultivated at the firm, its unique benefits, places to eat, where to find the free coffee and the history of the organization,

Sales associates receive professional coaching every other week, and Cohen Closing often promotes from within. (Four of the seven members of the leadership team were promoted from within.) The company celebrates every work anniversary with lunch with the president, and every five-year milestone anniversary employees get to select a gift from a custom Cohen website ($250 for five years, $500 for 10 years and $1,000 for 15 years of service) and receive an extra five days of paid time-off.

And this is a company that knows how to party. Cohen Closing & Title throws a summer party for its employees and their families each year with gifts that include Cohen beach towels, Cohen Yetis and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
