The board of directors of the Tillotson Corporation was informed last week that Ocean Properties had decided not to purchase the BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch. In a press release, the board stated that they were surprised and saddened by the unexpected news.
According to the release, the Tillotson Corporation had put an enormous amount of work into securing the future of the hotel for the North Country. The release went on to say that despite the loss of Ocean properties as a suitor, their goal to find a new owner for the BALSAMS would carry on.
The board also noted that they would regroup and in 10 days announce a plan to continue to manage the BALSAMS.
