WMUR President Jeff Bartlett to Retire

After two decades as president and general manager leading WMUR-TV, the statewide Hearst Television ABC affiliate in Manchester, Jeff Bartlett will retire this summer.

The award-winning veteran television broadcaster’s deep journalism and management experience took him to senior executive positions in many of the country’s top TV markets and ultimately to the leadership of one of the country’s most high-profile stations.

Bartlett’s successor will be announced at a later date. In addition to its status as NH’s video news source and most-watched TV station, WMUR-TV is recognizable to viewers nationwide due to presidential election cycles and as the host of many primary debates over the years.

Among many programming initiatives under Bartlett’s leadership, Bartlett launched and currently produces “New Hampshire Chronicle,” a Monday-through-Friday video magazine program, now in its 20th year, which spotlights the people and places that make the state special.
