In the spotlight: Elliot Health System added four new providers: Arathi Rajendra Komarla, MD, board-certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist, joins Elliot Gastroenterology. Eric R. Jackson, MD, board-certified pediatrician, joins Elliot Pediatrics at Bedford. Elena K. Rinehardt, MD, board-certified vascular surgeon, joins Elliot Vascular Surgery. Jessica Niewodowski, DO, board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, joins Elliot Trauma Surgery at Elliot Hospital’s Level II Trauma Center.

Merchants Fleet will hold its annual Fleet Summit at its headquarters in Hooksett on Sept. An opportunity to network, learn and collaborate on the hottest topics in the EV and fleet industry, the summit will include presentations and appearances from partners such as McLaren Racing, BrightDrop, Nissan, and Ford, as well as live demos of new EV models and innovative charging technology for fleets.

Cheshire Medical Center is hired Kierstin Clark, PA-C, to the Emergency Department. Prior to coming to Cheshire, Clark completed the Physician Assistant Program at the Yale School of Medicine, in New Haven, Connecticut, where she earned her Master of Medical Science degree.

Spaulding Academy & Family Services has created a Training and Development group to support its Family Services team and ensure quality training standards campuswide. Moss Hartwell has been promoted to Family Services Training Coordinator. Kristin Cain has been hired as Residential Trainer. Liz MacLeod now serves as the Training and Development Team’s Residential Onboarding Specialist. Devyn Vachon has been named the team’s Training and Human Resources Administrative Assistant.

The NH Lottery broke its all-time sales record in FY 2022 surpassing $536.5 million in total sales, representing a 3.3% or $17.6 million increase from last year when the Lottery set its previous record high of $519 million. The NH Lottery was also able to deliver a record $146.3 million in direct support for education last fiscal year, supporting students, teachers and schools across the state. Over the past five years, sales have jumped by nearly $200 million or nearly 60%.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust launched Bar Harbor Mortgage, a new, free app for iOS and Android that allows customers to apply for home financing directly from their smartphones. Prospective borrowers can fill out a mortgage application; photograph and upload documents; receive push notifications about the status of their loan and any outstanding tasks; download loan approval letters; and e-sign documents.

Plymouth State University will hold a Criminal Justice Career Symposium with keynote speaker NH Department of Safety (DOS) Assistant Commissioner Eddie Edwards on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The new partnership with DOS will provide students with access to internship opportunities and the first steps toward careers in public safety. Each division from the DOS will be represented at the Symposium with hands-on equipment displays, question and answer sessions and an informational tour.

This group delivers a unique skill set that includes the safe removal, storage, and installation of process equipment by a qualified technician with cleanroom and cGMP expertise.  Additional services include the storage and delivery of critical process equipment, shutdown support services, refurbishment services, as well as crating and packing services for storage and shipping.

Eleven Granite State professionals who work with homebuyers have been named 2023 NH Housing Homeownership Fellows. The program offers an opportunity to explore the mortgage finance system and participate in workshops about housing and public policy, housing and economic development, state government issues, and NH Housing’s homeownership programs.
