In the Spotlight: Cornerstone Visiting Nurse Association in Rochester has a new mobile phlebotomy service for individuals who need lab draws done at home. Cornerstone VNA was able to launch this innovative service by using generous funding from FedPoint to purchase several mobile centrifuge machines, which are used to spin blood samples. The goal of this service is to make lab testing more convenient and comfortable for individuals needing routine lab work.

Federal benefits contractor FedPoint is celebrating 20 years. A wholly owned subsidiary of John Hancock Life & Health Company, it was established in 2002 to administer the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program. FedPoint now employs more than 400 full-time professionals, 18 of whom are celebrating their 20th anniversary alongside the company.

Stebbins Commercial Properties LLC facilitated the sale of a 19,200 SF commercial building at 42-44 Bridge Street, Manchester, from Manchester Memorial Employee Credit Union to MOR Real Estate Holdings, LLC. Mike Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties LLC represented the Seller and assisted the Buyer. According to the Registry of Deeds the sale price was $1,150,000.

Cheshire Medical Center hired Holly Schroeder, MD, MPH to its Pediatrics department. She will be seeing adolescents and young adults for specialty services including Reproductive Health, Gender Care, Eating Disorders, and other health issues specific to that age group.

Subaru of America, Inc. and Subaru of Keene presented a check for $20,000 to Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities. Cedarcrest Center was the local beneficiary in the 2021 Subaru Share the Love Event. From November 18, 2021 to January 3, 2022, with every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru donated $250 to each customer’s choice of charity.

Millyard Bank in Nashua has signed on as presenting sponsor of the Hollis-Brookline Rotary Club’s 2022 ‘Fast 5K’ road race, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 9. Now in its 17th year, the Hollis Fast 5K is considered the fastest 5K course in New England, attracting more than 1,000 runners.

Funding is available for NH venues with 300 seats or fewer and arts organizations that produce performances in venues of that size through the N.H. State Council on the Arts Save Our Granite Stages grant program with $1 million from the American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Fund. The deadline to apply is May 27.
