NH Rivers Council President, Michele L. Tremblay, is the 2021 recipient of the Longard Volunteer Award for outstanding volunteer efforts to protect and conserve natural resources within the Gulf of Maine. The Longard Award is given to one individual for far-reaching impacts to the health of the Gulf of Maine, which comprises the States Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire and Provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

The Executive Council confirmed the appointment of Rene Pelletier to serve as the Director of the Water Division at the NH Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). Rene has 48 years of experience with NHDES, during which he has worked in all water related programs.
