In the spotlight: North Branch Construction hired Shrika Chikurty as a project engineer. She most recently worked as an assistant project manager for a commercial construction company in California. Mark Condon was hired as a project superintendent and comes to North Branch with more than 16 years of experience in commercial construction.

Catapult, a Seacoast young professionals network founded in 2006, is relaunching under the leadership of the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth in partnership with the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, and Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce. This merger supports its mission to create connections and be inclusive of young professionals in Seacoast communities.

Wason Associates Hospitality Real Estate Brokerage Group in Portsmouth facilitated the sale of the 117-unit Hampton Inn in South Portland, Maine to the Tolley Group. Joe Cardillo and Earle Wason represented the seller and presented the property.

NH Electric Cooperative entered into a partnership agreement with Conexon, a national fiber-to-the-home rural broadband provider to deliver high-speed internet to members in 118 NH communities who now lack it through its new subsidiary, NH Broadband.

The NH Bar Association is pleased to announce the following 2022 award recipients. They will also be recognized at NHBA’s virtual 2022 Midyear Meeting on Friday, February 18, 2022. Legal Director for ACLU-NH, Gilles R. Bissonnette, is the recipient of the Distinguished Service to the Public Award; Attorney Martha M. Jacques is the recipient of the Vickie M. Bunnell Award for Community Service; and Attorney Cordell Johnston is the recipient of the Outstanding Service in Public Sector/Public Interest Award.

St. Mary’s Bank in Machester hired Auburn Zaudke as business development and retail sales manager at its new Portsmouth office,  opening January 24, 2022. Zaudke’s background includes experience in several industries, including education, operations, and banking. Most recently, she worked as a business development manager and a mortgage loan originator at Goldenwest Credit Union in Orem, Utah.

The Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation (COAST) has launched a six-month pilot to offer transfers immediate transfer to the next available bus on the desired route. Customers paying with cash or single ride tickets will be issued a free transfer ticket if they request it while boarding their first bus.

The Gift of Lights at NH Motor Speedway, which ran from Thanksgiving through Jan. 2, kicked off 2022 fundraising efforts for the NH Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities with more than $46,000 and provided more than 1,300 meals to the Loudon Food Pantry.

Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) promoted Cathleen Sleeper to sssistant VP, branch and business development manager. In this position, Sleeper will continue to oversee the MVSB’s Main Office at 24 State Route 25 in Meredith.
