In the Spotlight: Red River, a technology company in Claremont, was listed by CRN on its 2020 Solution Provider 500 list, which is an annual ranking of the largest technology integrators, hardware and software providers and IT consultants in North America by revenue. Red River ranked 49 on this year’s list, up 15 spots from 2019.

GFA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, which has branches in the Monadnock area, donated $35,500 to support the communities they serve. NH organizations that received funds from the credit union include: the Cheshire Medical Center; the Monadnock Community Hospital; and the Peterborough Food Pantry.

The College of Business at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge created a new accounting specialization in its master of business administration, which will be offered online in Fall 2020. The program prepares students for management positions or accounting leadership roles for both businesses and non-profit.

Bangor Savings Bank, which has branches in NH, was named among the Forbes 2020 “World’s Best Banks” as the ninth best U.S. bank, a jump of 13 spots from last year.

Associated Builders and Contractors, New Hampshire Vermont Chapter in Concord delivered more than $34,000 in relief to help food banks in NH and Vermont fight hunger.

Consolidated Communications in Manchester contributed $10,000 to the NH Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities NH, as part of its efforts to support record numbers of people experiencing hunger due to the effects of the pandemic.

Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance also made a $10,000 donation to the NH Food Bank as part of an emergency community support grant to help independent agents give back to their local community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Spaulding Youth Center Northfield received a five-year accreditation by the NH Department of Education, the longest time frame permitted between special education program approval visits.

Ledyard National Bank promoted Katie Blake to vice president and regional retail manager. She will be responsible for managing the overall performance of Ledyard’s retail branches while continuing to manage the New London branch.

The NH Liquor Commission expanded its curbside and in-store pickup program to include the Hampton NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Interstate 95 South and the Hooksett NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Interstate 93 South.

Harbor Homes, a non-profit in Nashua, received $25,000 from the Bank of America Foundation to help end homelessness in Greater Nashua. Funds will be used to ensure that housing, health care, and other services are provided to more than 5,000 vulnerable NH community members, in the wake of Covid-19.

Rivier University in Nashua took the top spot in an independent evaluation of online RN to BSN programs in NH. Ranked #1 by RegisteredNursing.org, Rivier’s program allows working RNs to receive their bachelor’s degrees.

Opus Consulting, a business performance consulting firm with offices in Portsmouth, announced that Eric Shooman will join the team as an advisor. Shooman will help Opus Consulting expand its service offering and leadership into Massachusetts.
