The Masiello Group Commercial Associates hired Matt Bacon and Cassie Farley for their commercial team. Bacon’s specialty is development projects and investment brokerage, with a specific interest in multi-family, vehicle service, and industrial assets in southern and central NH. Farley specializes in the marketing and sale of car washes, special use properties, high cash-flow businesses, and multi-family assets in southern and central New Hampshire.

Bangor Savings Bank, for the fourth time in the last five years, has received the highest score among qualifying retail banks in the New England region in the J.D. Power 2019 Retail Banking Satisfaction Study. The bank’s score of 872 out of a possible 1,000 points in the 2019 study earned it the highest Power Circle Rating of “among the best” and beat the New England Region average score by 73 points.

ScrubaDub, a third-generation family-owned car wash company with 19 locations across New England, selected Jewett Construction, headquartered in Raymond, to renovate and add onto their facility on Forest Avenue in Portland, Maine.

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) was honored by the Science Coalition with a Champion of Science Award, which recognizes members of Congress for their commitment to science through support for funding for federal research agencies.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield associates in NH teamed up with the Blessings in a Backpack organization to pack and donate 500 backpacks of nonperishable food and snacks to the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester to supplement the club’s food pantry and help address food insecurity in the Queen City. A national grant from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation is helping to supplement food availability in local programs for elementary school children in Manchester and across the U.S. who might otherwise go hungry on weekends during the school year.

Bank of America, which has 350 employees at 26 locations in NH, was named to the “100 Best Companies to Work For” list by Fortune magazine. The bank received this through an anonymous evaluation by its employees on more than 60 elements of workplace culture, including trust in managers, compensation, fairness, manifestation of company values, ability to contribute new ideas, and overall fulfillment.

Consolidated Communications is launching 1 Gig broadband services to nearly 10,000 Derry residents and small businesses. The enhanced service will use the company’s new Fiber–To-The-Premises technology to increase the town’s broadband speeds and on-demand capabilities.

The company also recently awarded $1,250 to Families in Transition-New Horizons, which provids hunger relief, emergency shelter, safe affordable housing, and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or in need. Consolidated is marking its 125th year in 2019 by presenting a special gift of $1,250 each month to nonprofit organizations.

President's Club Award was presented to The Insurance Source in Keene and the Outstanding Community Service Award was presented to Insurance Outlet of Laconia.

Members First Credit Union in Manchester donated a van to Granite Pathways, a nonprofit organization supporting individuals with mental illness and addiction. The van will help transporti adolescents 12 to 17 years old who are receiving treatment at its new Youth Treatment Center in Manchester. The first of its kind in NH, the 36-bed facility is dedicated to treating youth with substance use disorder and assisting them on the road to recovery.
