In the Spotlight: Four optometrists, supported by Portsmouth Lions Club volunteers, spent a recent Saturday providing comprehensive eye examinations, at no cost, to patients of Families First Health and Support Center who have diabetes. The exams were provided at no cost to the patients. Jordan Family Eyecare, Harbor Eyecare Center, Hampton Eyecare Associates and the NH Ophthalmic Association donated use of equipment for the day. Nineteen patients received exams.

Tender Corporation, Littleton, has been formally recognized for contributing more than 15,000 units of Repel Bite, a DEET-based insect repellent, and After Bite insect sting and bite treatment, as part of Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico led by American Red Cross NH/VT Region. The Red Cross distributed the supplies, valued at nearly $30,000, to affected residents.

Bank of New Hampshire, Laconia, has been selected to participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program, which assists local homebuyers with down-payments and closing costs as well as homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation assistance. The $3.1 million program provides grants to financial institutions to assist households at or below 80 percent of the area median income. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $11,000 in assistance and must also complete a homebuyer counseling program.

Prolman Realty, Nashua, recently sold 267 Main Street to 267 Main Street Realty, LLC. According to Mark Prolman who represented the buyer, the .43-acre site located at a four-way, signalized intersection will be a Dunkin Donuts. The selling price was $350,000 based upon recording documents at the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds.

U.S. News and World Report has ranked the University of New Hampshire’s part-time MBA program among the top 100 in the nation. UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics was the only business school north of Boston to make the top 100. This is the second year in a row that both the part-time and online MBA programs have been ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News.
