In the Spotlight: Four optometrists, supported by Portsmouth Lions Club volunteers, spent a recent Saturday providing comprehensive eye examinations, at no cost, to patients of Families First Health and Support Center who have diabetes. The exams were provided at no cost to the patients. Jordan Family Eyecare, Harbor Eyecare Center, Hampton Eyecare Associates and the NH Ophthalmic Association donated use of equipment for the day. Nineteen patients received exams.

RPF Environmental, Inc., Northwood has re-hired Ryan Daly as an environmental, health and safety technician. Daly is providing services to including control projects requiring specialization in air sampling; water related field work; and management of asbestos, lead and other hazardous materials.

Tender Corporation, Littleton, has been formally recognized for contributing more than 15,000 units of Repel Bite, a DEET-based insect repellent, and After Bite insect sting and bite treatment, as part of Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico led by American Red Cross NH/VT Region. The Red Cross distributed the supplies, valued at nearly $30,000, to affected residents.

Bank of New Hampshire, Laconia, has been selected to participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program, which assists local homebuyers with down-payments and closing costs as well as homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation assistance. The $3.1 million program provides grants to financial institutions to assist households at or below 80 percent of the area median income. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $11,000 in assistance and must also complete a homebuyer counseling program.

Prolman Realty, Nashua, recently sold 267 Main Street to 267 Main Street Realty, LLC. According to Mark Prolman who represented the buyer, the .43-acre site located at a four-way, signalized intersection will be a Dunkin Donuts.  The selling price was $350,000 based upon recording documents at the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds.

U.S. News and World Report has ranked the University of New Hampshire’s part-time MBA program among the top 100 in the nation. UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics was the only business school north of Boston to make the top 100. This is the second year in a row that both the part-time and online MBA programs have been ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News.

Bill Thomas, senior VP investment officer, of Wells Fargo Advisors in Hanover, has been recognized as a 2018 Best-In-State Advisors by Forbes. He has more than twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. Brian Doyle and Stephen Loughman, both managing directors of Wells Fargo Advisors have been ranked among Barron’s Top 1200 Advisors for 2017. Doyle ranked third in the state and Loughman ranked fifth.

Maxine Cacciotti has joined St. Mary’s Bank, Manchester, as its new senior indirect lending business development officer. Cacciotti brings 21 years of experience in business development, dealership relations, customer service, and credit union advocacy. She will use her expertise and relationship-driven approach to strengthen the credit union’s network of dealer partners and increase its portfolio of indirect lending.

Center Harbor Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has hired William Kevin Wagner. He has more than 34 years in retail management, most recently as manager of Lowe’s Home Improvement Center in Gilford. This experience, along with buying and selling properties 13 times, gives him a solid understanding of what is expected from a real estate agent on both sides as a seller and as a buyer.
