Dennis Mires PA, The Architects in Manchester completed the Dr. Arthur and Martha Pappas Health Science and Athletic Training Center at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge. The project was carried out in conjunction with Eckman Construction Co., Inc. of Bedford. The 10,000-square-feet center contains athletic training and rehabilitation areas, classrooms, offices, and support services for officials of field house athletic events.

Trumbull-Nelson Construction of Hanover and Montpelier, Vt. appointed Keith Fossett as residential division manager. Fossett has more than 20 years of building experience and previously served as manager of operations for Grayson Homes in Maryland.

David Nixon, senior partner of the law firm of Nixon, Vogelman, Barry, Slawsky & Simoneau, PA in Manchester, received the Chief Justice Frank Rowe Kenison Award from the NH Bar Foundation in Concord. Nixon was selected for his substantial contributions to the betterment of NH citizens through the legal profession. Nixon is a past president of the NH Bar Association, the New England Bar Association, and the International Society of Barristers.

The accounting and professional services firm Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in Lebanon made several promotions: Angela Allard, accountant and member of the firm since 2009, was promoted to senior I. Joshua Gagne, accountant and member of the firm since 2004, was promoted to senior manager. Jing Gao, accountant and member of the firm since 2008, was promoted to senior II. Ben Johnson, a member of the firm since 2011, was promoted to Staff II. Kyle Potter, a member of the firm since 2011, was promoted to Staff II. Amber Torrey, accountant and member of the firm since 2008, was promoted to Senior II. The firm also hired several staff accountants: Alicia Hershberger, Michael Buttimer, Kaitlin Leonard and Mitchell Stagnone.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon appointed Denis Cortese and Laura Landy to its board of trustees. Cortese served as CEO of Mayo Clinic in Minn. from 2003 through 2009 and is the director of Arizona State University's Health Care Delivery and Policy Program. He also serves as president of the nonprofit Healthcare Transformation Institute, based in Ariz. and is an honorary member of the Royal College of Physicians in London. Landy is president and CEO of the Fannie E. Rippel Foundation in N.J. and founder and chair of ReThink Health, an initiative that works to bring new thinking to achieving better healthcare. She also created and directed the Institute for Nonprofit Entrepreneurship at New York University's Stern School of Business.

Cityside Management Corp in Manchester formed a partnership with the Manchester Food Co-Op through which 44 Cityside employees accepted a subsidized member-owner share in the co-op. The company joins Stonyfield Farm, Inc. in Manchester, CCA Global Partners in Manchester, Dyn Inc. in Manchester and Derry Medical Center in Derry as co-op partners. The participating employees are granted voting rights with the co-op.

Antioch University New England president David Caruso announced that he will retire at the end of the 2012-2013 academic year. During his six-year tenure at the Keene school, Caruso completed the campus' first strategic plan, launched the Ph.D. program in marriage and family therapy and developed hybrid and low-residency program delivery models. School chancellor Felice Nudelman will work with the AUNE board of trustees to develop a process to search for his replacement.

Green Mountain Communications in Pembroke hired Jose Burgos as director wireless specialist. Burgos has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically driving sales for Motorola in Ill. and Lucent Technologies in N.J.

Gerald Dumoulin, president, CEO, and treasurer of Guardian Angel Credit Union in Berlin, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the NH Credit Union League, based in Manchester. He has led Guardian Angel for more than 25 years is treasurer for the City of Berlin, Berlin Industrial Development, and Notre Dame Arena in Berlin. Dumoulin has previously served as director, treasurer, and vice-chairman of the NHCUL.
