Stay Work Play NH Appoints New Executive Director

Stay Work Play NH, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to attracting and retaining young people in NH, appointed Corinne Benfield as its new executive director.

“I am truly honored to join Stay Work Play as executive director,” Benfield says. “I’ve been lucky to experience the beauty, possibility, and community that New Hampshire has to offer, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to amplify the uniqueness of this state for both current young residents and those considering making New Hampshire their home. I’m excited to help ensure that young people feel connected, supported, and inspired to build their lives and careers here in the Granite State.”

Benfield most recently served as director of corporate and community partnerships at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester. Prior to that, Benfield led the Leadership Greater Manchester program and the Manchester Young Professionals group at the Greater Manchester Chamber.

She succeeds Will Stewart, who served as executive director for seven years before taking the helm in July of Leadership NH, a nonprofit program dedicated to educating NH's leaders about the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the state.

“As part of our comprehensive selection process for Stay Work Play NH’s new executive director, we brought together a diverse team of stakeholders from throughout the state to provide valuable input, including business leaders who serve on our board of advisors,” says Rich Parsons, co-chair of Stay Work Play NH board of directors. “Corinne’s strong experience in strategic community partnership development and engagement shone through as she met with our key partners, and we know that she’ll play a pivotal role in continuing to build collaborative relationships to help advance our mission of attracting and retaining young people for the benefit of all our neighbors, businesses and communities.”
