The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is planning its first virtual Awards Banquet. For the safety and comfort of attendees, the “Wired for Fun – Connecting the Community” Annual Awards Banquet will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. online via a tabled remote platform.
The event will provide attendees with a social period where they can visit various tables as well as see and speak live to other attendees; enjoy the award presentations of the 2020 Citizen of the Year, 2020 Business of the Year and 2020 Non-Profit of the Year.
As dinner will not be provided, the price of registration to attend the Banquet virtually, has been reduced to $30 per person and includes two free door prize tickets.
The annual chamber arffle has also gone virtual. A Night at the Movies Chamber Raffle will stream live on Facebook on Friday, August 14, starting at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the Chamber Raffle include an opportunity to win a 2020 Harley Davidson FXLR Low Rider Motorcycle or $10,000. Tickets are being sold for $100 each. The winners of the Grand Prize, runner-up prizes and second chance prizes drawn do not have to be present online to win.
Those purchasing tickets either through the Chamber office or website, Granite Steak & Grill or Windjammer’s Seafood Restaurant in Rochester, get a $10 gift card to one of the restaurants.
