Mr. Mac’s Now Ships Nationwide

Mr. Mac’s is serving up its cheesy goodness across the country. The award-winning gourmet macaroni and cheese restaurant in Manchester is now shipping its fresh Take N’ Bake Macs nationwide.

“Over the past 10 years, we’ve had hundreds of requests from people to ship to them,” says Mark Murphy, Mr. Mac’s vice president of operations. “I think it shows how passionate our customers are about our product and speaks to how much they want to share it with others.”

The macs are shipped via UPS Ground and arrive in two to three business days, though orders placed on Thursday and Friday ship the following Monday. The macs are shipped with cool packs to keep the product at a safe temperature. “We really don’t want to freeze our product because it can take the quality down. The hardest battle that we have is how to make it cost effective; you have a cooler and ice packs, but through a lot of research, we feel we achieved a good system.”

While the best seller in its restaurants is Classic All American, Lobstah Mac is the most popular for shipping, thanks to national attention from the Travel Channel. “Mr. Mac’s was featured on Food Paradise and Man v. Food. We even had people reach out from England. But shipping is only available in the continental U.S.,” Murphy says.

And Mr. Mac’s is positioning its offerings as “the perfect side dish” to take to a holiday party, says Murphy, adding the holidays are one of the business’s busier seasons. It even offers a special turkey dinner-themed mac. “It’s a little out there. It’s mac and cheese, with turkey, turkey gravy, cheddar cheese all mixed together and topped with stuffing, more cheddar cheese and a cranberry drizzle. It is one of our most-loved specials,” he says.
