Now that gas prices have come down significantly, the traveler to and in New Hampshire is more concerned about getting added value for their money.
According to recent research by the Travel Industry Association, 75 percent of travelers expect to book a packaged vacation to save money, and six out of ten plan to comparison shop for prices and rates on the Internet.
Visitors not only want to get more for their money, they want to be able to do more for their money, said Alice DeSouza, director of the NH Division of Travel and Tourism Development. Given the value-conscious nature of New Hampshire, with its tax-free shopping and wide variety of experiences, we thought it would be great to remind people of all the reasons New Hampshire helps stretch those dollars even further.
The Yankee Dollar-Stretcher Deals page was unveiled on the VisitNH.gov Web site, containing offers from all parts of the state, from lodging facilities to businesses and attractions.
All of the offers have the same goal in mind to save the traveler money and give added-value to their New Hampshire experience. Visitors can find discounts, special packages, two-for-one deals, kids ski/stay/eat free offers and more, said DeSouza, Our industry members really helped kick this promotion off by coming up with so many creative offers, many of which would make for great holiday gifts.
Current offers are available at www.visitnh.gov/why-new-hampshire/gas-and-green-offers/deals.aspx. Users are encouraged to check back frequently as the page will be updated on a regular basis with new offers.
