Katelyn Nash Honored as Young Careerist

The Franklin Business and Professional Women’s Club has chosen Katelyn Nash as their 50th recipient of the club’s Virginia Allan Young Careerist award.

The award was created in 1964 by then BPW/USA President Virginia Allan to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of successful young professionals.

Nash, a Realtor at Central Gold Key Realty, serves as the secretary of the Choose Franklin Advisory Board. She has volunteered many hours with this organization, including co-chairperson and volunteer coordinator for the Christmas Tree Fundraiser and creator/chairperson for the Voter Dinner to encourage young adults and others to vote, even using a "ballot" menu. She also initiated the use of Facebook Live for Choose Franklin meetings, allowing all who are interested and unable to attend in person to stay informed.

Nash volunteers with the Franklin Lodge of Elks and she is a member of the National Association of Realtors, a member of the NH Association of Realtors, and a member of the Lakes Region Board of Realtors.

Nash gave a speech at the Franklin BPW February recognition for which, she received a standing ovation. Her speech was focused on how men and children help women achieve equality, and what responsibilities women have to educate men and children on the inequalities that exist today. for women?" Nash will take part in a regional competition in September.

The Franklin BPW club began in 1948, as an organization to promote the full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency for America’s working women.
