In the spotlight: NH Fiscal Policy Institute hired Bobby Koolis as a policy analyst. Prior to joining NHFPI, Koolis served as a care coordinator for Connected Families NH. Phil Sletten has been promoted to the position of research director managing NHFPI’s research and analysis of the state budget, state revenues, the economy, and the economic security of Granite Staters, with a focus on residents with low- and moderate-incomes. Kathy Underwood, CEO of Ledyard National Bank in Hanover, has been appointed to the Federal Reserve’s National Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.

Ora LeMere of Nashua is taking over the role of assistant commissioner of the NH Department of Revenue Administration. LeMere, has been director of the NHDRA Collection Division since 2016. Samuel Greene was named Municipal and Property Division Director.

Elliot Health System hired Dr. Emese Kalnoki-Kis, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, specializing in breast reduction surgery, breast reconstruction after cancer, body contouring procedures after weight loss, wound care, and facial skin cancer repair. She is now accepting patients at Elliot Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery located at The Elliot at River’s Edge in Manchester.

NH Department of Health and Human Services is making an additional $6 million available to childcare providers that received American Rescue Plan Stabilization funds in the fall of 2021. The funds will be distributed to 486 childcare programs based on each program’s licensed capacity and could see each program receive as much as $165 per child.

Erin Hennessey was appointed as deputy secretary of state. Prior to accepting her appointment, Hennessey served three terms as state representative for Grafton 1 and one term as state senator for District 1. She was a member of the Finance, Ways & Means and Senate Education committees during her time on the Senate.

Charles Cappetta, MD, FAAP, Dartmouth Health Children’s pediatrician and children’s health advocate, has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Sandi Van Scoyoc Legacy Award by the New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation. The foundation is a leading funder to improve the health and wellness of children in the state.
